HCi3 Announces Final 2024 Grant Awards
HCi3 has made six new grant awards, as part of its 2024 granting program. We are delighted to share the recipients of our final 2024 grants, awarded under our "“Partnership” and “Catalyst” streams.
Partnership grants are up to $75,000, while Catalyst grants are up to $10,000.
Partnership Grant Awards:
Everyone Every day, a Reconciliation initiative of the Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre, has received $75,000 to support the electrification of its community build program, which supports grassroots infrastructure projects in North End Halifax.
AzSpecd Solutions has been awarded $65,000 to study the integration of small wind turbines in Mi’kmaw communities and HRM.
North Preston Medical Society has been awarded $50,000 towards the detailed planning of a deep retrofit at the North Preston Daycare.
EV4U has been awarded $37,500 towards the expansion of shared electric vehicle pilot program in various communities in HRM.
Catalyst Grant Awards:
Delmore “Buddy” Daye Learning Institute received $10,000 towards solar lighting for a playground at the Upper Hammonds Plains Community Centre.
Halifax Cycling Coalition received $5,000 towards the launch of the HRM Cycling Guide, an online tool that provides cycling-centric route mapping.
