The Deep Retrofit Accelerator Initiative (DRAI) is dedicated to accelerating the adoption of deep energy retrofits across Atlantic Canada, focusing on commercial, institutional, and multi-unit residential buildings, as well as housing in Indigenous communities. This multi-partner program, led by the ReCover Initiative, will involve publishing a strategic roadmap for the deep retrofit industry, providing services and support to property owners and developers, and building industry capacity. Learn more about ReCover’s work here.

As part of DRAI, HCi3 is working to increase understanding and access to financing options for building owners and managers to advance deep retrofits.  This will include:

• identifying gaps and opportunities for financing in Atlantic Canada

• developing tools and training to increase knowledge of funding pathways

• strengthening relationships with potential financing partners.

This program is made possible through generous funding from Natural Resources Canada, the Echo Foundation, McConnell Foundation and Trottier Family Foundation.
