Introducing electrification to the Communauto carshare fleet in Halifax
Communauto is to acquiring and installing EV chargers for carshare vehicles in the Communauto Atlantic fleet. In fall 2024, Communauto will be adding the first fully electric vehicles into its Halifax fleet. One logistical challenge is the access to dedicated charging sites at the locations where the vehicles will be based. The goal of this project is to ensure that Communauto can provide consistent and reliable charging options for carshare members as it pursues the electrification of its fleet. Communauto estimates this overall project will reduce 47,400 kg GHG per year through replacing 10 gas vehicles with EVs.
